Today, I want to talk about “Christ in You the Hope of Glory.” Because this mystery of Christ dwelling in us is the most important truth we need to understand. The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Colossians, in Colossians 1:27 says "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" I would like to share with you some key points about the importance of “Christ in you” in Colossians 1:27.
First point, 1. Christ in you means personal relationship.
Having “Christ in you” means having a personal relationship with Him. It signifies a deep, intimate connection with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. For without Christ in you and in me, we are hopeless
Second point, 2. Christ in you means transformation.
Christ in you or Christ in us, brings about a transformative change in our life. When we accept Christ, His Holy Spirit dwells in us, enabling us to experience spiritual growth and development. As we surrender to Him, He works in us, shaping our character, and conforming us to His image. Ellen White says, “When Christ is formed within, the hope of glory, then the truth of God will so act upon the natural temperament that its transforming power will be seen in changed characters.” CT 194.1
Third point, 3. Christ in you means hope of glory.
Christ in you is the hope of
glory. It means that through our union with Christ, we have the assurance and expectation of sharing in His glorious future. If Christ is not "IN YOU" or "IN ME" then you are hopeless. I am
hopeless.Christ is our "ONLY HOPE."
This hope is not limited to the present earthly life but extends to eternity, where believers will experience the fullness of God's glory. With Christ in us, we are assured of our salvation. Then we have His guidance, strength, and love. And He empowers us to live according to God's will and empowers us to overcome the challenges we face. Remember, it is through Christ's presence in our lives that we find purpose, meaning, and the assurance of eternal life with Him. May God bless you.
